WE'RE SERIOUS ABOUT PROTECTING OUR PLANET
At Andara Santé, we take into consideration the importance of preserving our planet. We’re committed to being a key player in improving our environmental impact.
Specifically, we aim at managing environmental and social impacts across our entire corporation. We ensure and show our contribution to sustainable thinking and practices via our biodegradable and eco-friendly packaging of our products. Additionally, we take further steps to improve sustainable product packaging and management through design solutions, facilitating responsible collection and disposal and consumer awareness and education.
WHY IT MATTERS
Sustainable Thinking & Practices
There is a need to change economic models of production and use, moving to a more restorative model. Building sustainability considerations into product design is a way to control environmental and social impacts across the life cycle of a product, from development and manufacture to use and disposal. Sustainability matters because it improves the quality of our lives, protects our ecosystem, and preserves natural resources for future generations. Our approach to sustainability is structured around our product’s eco-friendly design and circularity and in our responsible marketing.
Our Approach & Contribution
SDGs Goal 12: Responsible consumption & production: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
SDGs Goal 15: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
Our Packaging Approach
Transitioning from planned obsolescence to single use disposable packaging is the future of sustainability and can be achieved by:
Creating structure for transparency and responsibility through EPR initiatives.
Setting packaging designs and standards that support source reduction and reuse rather than waste disposal.
We re-define what "sustainable packaging" means by promoting reusable models and educating consumers that disposable is not sustainable.
Our Wildlife Protection Approach
The damage caused by illicit growers in cannabis plantations must be taken into serious account and considerations. The illicit market has failed to implement environmentally sustainable methods of production and has caused significant environmental damage and harm to many wildlife species in North America.
Emphasis placed on supporting the shift to environmental excellence by displacing the unregulated, untested and unsafe illicit market activities of Cannabis by working closely with non-profit organizations that support this cause.
